From the Warm Welcome, to the Cosy and very quiet location this Lovely B&B is worthy of the Star rating it has.The picture above in May when i stayed was of a beautiful yellow rape field and the surrounding hillside summed up the enviroment! Very healthy. Its easy to find, once you get used to the back roads.LOL.There are footpaths everywhere and the local History is worthy of looking into, i took a different trip in not using the visitors guide and what delights i found, the surrounding area in general is quite Stunning, and if your adventuress! you will enjoy the mass of walks on your doorstep, let alone the Great views you will get to see from driving and genuinely checking out this beautiful area. The accomodation was very clean very comfortable and as guests your made to feel relaxed which was really nice.I would highly recommend Balmashanner to those seeking a really quiet location with easy access to all major routes.I was up on my first proper Trip into Scotland, taking photos of Wildlife and generally taking in the Views. I will be back to Stay at this Warm non-intrusive and very helpful couples B&B. Regards Kenzie.

As soon as I saw the photo of Balmashanner House on the website, I knew it would be a lovely place to stay in. The location is extremely quiet, the views are beautiful, the breakfasts were tasty and filling (vegetarians are fully catered for), the rooms were comfortable and clean, our hostess very friendly and the price unbeatable! We loved meeting the little Yorkshire Terrier doggies too :-)We'd definitely stay there again.Elizabeth Jones

A real positive surprise to arrive here after booking by phone off this site. We were on a tour of Scotland & London and we have experienced a wide range of B&B's and none had as high quality and value for money that is Balmashanner. Best of luck from New Zealand.

What a Wonderful Place! Marie was the perfect host and we stayed 3 wonderful nights there. The rooms were gorgeous, the atmosphere was very tranquil & homely, Marie's' breakfasts were amazing! and Jess thought Callum & Craig (the sheep) and Harvey (the Turkey) and of course the three beautiful Yorkshire Terriers, were the best. We will definitely be back.

Balmashanner's Marie and Robert are big hearted people people who genuinely care about looking after you and really enjoy doing it. In the totally relaxing atmosphere of the rolling Angus hills you can hear the silence and feel your cares disappear. With Marie's wonderful cooking, the comfort of the character-filled old house and the value for money package we can't wait to return to Balmashanner.
